Britney Spears has had a turbulent relationship with fame that often didn’t work in her favor. In the late ‘00s, harassment of Spears by the paparazzi contributed to a lot of her personal struggles. Their relentless pursuit often meant Britney couldn’t travel without a security team. In 2009, she was paying around $400,000 a year for security.

While Britney has largely taken a step back from the limelight, a documentary released on Disney’s Hulu in February 2021 has her name plastered all over the headlines again. It’s safe to say that Britney hasn’t scaled down her security in recent years and probably pays in excess of $600,000 per year for the various measures, including guards.
Security at Britney’s homes is also constantly reviewed and tight to make sure that the star and her children are always protected. Spears has remained one of the most pursued stars over the years, so it’s natural to think her bill will be significantly higher than some of her contemporaries.
